  • 1 quart Vanilla ice cream
  • 1 pound Pound cake sliced
  • 4 Egg whites
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Place slices of pound cake on the baking sheet.
  4. Top with scoops of ice cream and freeze until firm.
  5. Whisk egg whites until soft peaks form, then gradually add sugar and vanilla extract.
  6. Spread meringue over the ice cream and cake, sealing edges.
  7. Bake in preheated oven for 3-5 minutes until meringue is golden brown.
  8. Serve immediately.
