Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook ziti pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a saucepan, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
Add marinara sauce to the beef and simmer for 10 minutes.
In a large bowl, mix cooked ziti, ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in the bottom of a baking dish. Layer half of the ziti mixture, then half of the remaining meat sauce. Repeat layers.
Top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
