Bananas Foster
A classic New Orleans dessert made with bananas, rum, and a delicious caramel sauce.

- 4 bananas peeled and sliced
- ¼ cup butter unsalted
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup dark rum
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pint vanilla ice cream for serving
1. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
2. Add the brown sugar and stir until dissolved.
3. Add the bananas and cook until they start to soften, about 2-3 minutes.
4. Stir in the cinnamon and vanilla extract.
5. Carefully add the rum and ignite with a long lighter. Let the flames subside.
6. Serve the bananas and sauce over vanilla ice cream.
