  • 4 bananas peeled and sliced
  • ¼ cup butter unsalted
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup dark rum
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the brown sugar and stir until dissolved.
  3. 3. Add the bananas and cook until they start to soften, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. 4. Stir in the cinnamon and vanilla extract.
  5. 5. Carefully add the rum and ignite with a long lighter. Let the flames subside.
  6. 6. Serve the bananas and sauce over vanilla ice cream.
