Instructions
1. In a large pot, brown the beef stew meat over medium heat.
2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until the onion is translucent.
3. Stir in the tomato paste and cook for another minute.
4. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil.
5. Add the chopped cabbage and sliced carrots. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1.5 hours.
6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot.
