Bierocks Recipe
Delicious homemade bierocks filled with seasoned beef, cabbage, and onions.

Dough
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- ¼ cup sugar
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
Filling
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small cabbage, shredded
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, yeast, and warm water. Mix well.
2. Add sugar, vegetable oil, and salt. Gradually add remaining flour to form a soft dough.
3. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled.
4. In a skillet, cook ground beef, cabbage, and onion until beef is browned and vegetables are tender. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down dough and divide into 8 pieces. Roll each piece into a circle.
6. Place a portion of the filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold dough over filling and pinch edges to seal.
7. Place bierocks on a greased baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
