  • 1 cup Sugar
  • ¼ cup Water
  • ½ cup Heavy Cream Room temperature
  • 2 tablespoon Unsalted Butter Room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar and water. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Increase heat to high and bring to a boil without stirring. Cook until the mixture turns a deep amber color.
  3. Remove from heat and carefully whisk in heavy cream. The mixture will bubble up.
  4. Stir in butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  5. Let cool slightly before using or storing in a jar.
