Chakchouka Shakshouka Recipe
A delicious North African dish made with poached eggs in a spicy tomato and pepper sauce.

Main Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 5 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 4 eggs
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add chopped onion and bell pepper. Cook until softened.
Add garlic and cook for another minute.
Add chopped tomatoes, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Make small wells in the sauce and crack the eggs into each well.
Cover the skillet and cook until eggs are set, about 5 minutes.
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
