Crumpet Ingredients
- 250 g plain flour
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon dry yeast
- 300 ml warm milk
- 200 ml warm water
Mix flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and yeast in a bowl.
Gradually add warm milk and water, whisking until smooth.
Cover the bowl and let the batter rest for 30 minutes.
Heat a frying pan over medium heat and grease crumpet rings.
Pour batter into rings and cook until bubbles form on the surface.
Remove rings and flip crumpets to cook the other side.
