Garden Fresh Tomato Soup Recipe
A simple, delicious tomato soup made with fresh garden tomatoes.

Main Ingredients
- 6 cups Fresh tomatoes, chopped
- 1 cup Onion, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 cups Vegetable broth
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
- ½ teaspoon Black pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- ¼ cup Fresh basil, chopped
Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and garlic, and sauté until they are soft and translucent.
Add the chopped tomatoes, vegetable broth, salt, pepper, and sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 20 minutes.
Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Use a blender to puree the soup until smooth.
Return the soup to the pot, stir in the chopped basil, and heat through. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
Serve hot, garnished with additional fresh basil if desired.
