Main Ingredients
- 8 slices Turkey breast cooked
- 8 slices Bacon cooked until crispy
- 4 slices Texas toast toasted
Mornay Sauce
- 4 tablespoons Butter
- 4 tablespoons All-purpose flour
- 2 cups Milk warm
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese grated
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- ¼ teaspoon Black pepper
- ¼ cup Cheddar cheese shredded
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and cook, stirring constantly, for about 1 minute.
Gradually whisk in the warm milk and cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.
Place the toasted Texas toast slices in a baking dish. Top each slice with turkey and then pour the Mornay sauce over the top.
Sprinkle the shredded Cheddar cheese on top and place the baking dish in the oven. Bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 10 minutes.
Remove from the oven and top each sandwich with two slices of crispy bacon. Serve hot.
