Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 lb beef chuck, cut into cubes
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups potatoes, diced
  • 2 cups carrots, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until softened.
  2. Add the paprika and cook for another minute.
  3. Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides.
  4. Stir in the garlic, caraway seeds, and tomato paste. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Pour in the beef broth, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 1.5 hours.
  6. Add the potatoes and carrots, and cook for another 30 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
