Main Ingredients
- 3 large Eggs separated
- ½ cup Granulated sugar divided
- ½ cup All-purpose flour sifted
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract
- ¼ cup Powdered sugar for dusting
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add half of the granulated sugar and continue to beat until stiff peaks form.
In another bowl, beat the egg yolks with the remaining sugar until thick and pale. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
Gently fold the egg yolk mixture into the egg whites. Sift the flour and salt over the mixture and gently fold until combined.
Transfer the batter to a piping bag fitted with a plain round tip. Pipe 3-inch long strips onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
Dust the ladyfingers with powdered sugar. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until lightly golden. Cool on a wire rack.
