- 1 loaf French bread cut into cubes
- 8 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Grease a baking dish and add the bread cubes.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla.
Pour the mixture over the bread cubes, ensuring all are coated.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Mix cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a small bowl and sprinkle over the casserole.
Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
