A traditional Cornish pasty recipe, perfect for a hearty meal.

Main Ingredients
- 500 g Beef skirt diced
- 300 g Potatoes peeled and diced
- 150 g Onions finely chopped
- 150 g Swede diced
- 500 g Shortcrust pastry ready-made or homemade
- 1 Egg beaten, for egg wash
- to taste Salt and pepper
Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
In a large bowl, mix the beef, potatoes, onions, and swede. Season with salt and pepper.
Roll out the pastry and cut into 4 equal circles.
Place a portion of the filling onto one half of each pastry circle. Brush the edges with beaten egg.
Fold the pastry over the filling and crimp the edges to seal. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
Place the pasties on a baking tray and bake for 50 minutes, or until golden brown.
Let cool slightly before serving.
