- 4 cups peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup sugar divided
- ½ cup butter melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the peaches and ½ cup of sugar. Set aside.
In another bowl, mix the remaining sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk until just combined.
Pour the melted butter into a baking dish. Pour the batter over the butter, but do not stir. Spoon the peaches on top of the batter, but do not stir.
Bake for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the batter comes out clean.
