Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cups white sugar
  • 1 unit egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg, vanilla, and almond extract. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll out dough on floured surface to ¼ inch thick. Cut into shapes with any cookie cutter.
  4. Place cookies 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden. Let cool on wire racks.
