Ingredients 

Gyro Meat

  • 1 lb Ground Lamb
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 large Onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 tablespoon Ground Cumin
  • 2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a food processor, combine the onion, garlic, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Pulse until finely chopped.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the ground lamb and beef with the onion mixture until well combined.
  4. Press the meat mixture into a loaf pan or shape into a loaf and place in a baking dish.
  5. Bake for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  6. Let the meat rest for 10 minutes before slicing thinly.
