Ingredients

  • 1 lb Beef stew meat cut into chunks
  • 1 cup Lentils rinsed
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 1 cup Diced tomatoes canned
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 2 cups Water

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add beef and cook until browned on all sides.
  3. 3. Add onion and garlic, cook until softened.
  4. 4. Stir in lentils, beef broth, diced tomatoes, water, salt, pepper, thyme, and paprika.
  5. 5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1.5 hours, or until lentils and beef are tender.
  6. 6. Adjust seasoning to taste and serve hot.
