Feijoada Brazilian Black Bean Stew Recipe

- 1 lb black beans soaked overnight
- 1 lb pork shoulder cut into chunks
- 1 lb smoked sausage sliced
- 1 large onion chopped
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- to taste salt
- to taste black pepper
1. In a large pot, cook the pork shoulder over medium heat until browned.
2. Add the sausage, onion, and garlic to the pot. Cook until the onion is translucent.
3. Add the soaked black beans, beef broth, and bay leaves. Bring to a boil.
4. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 2 hours, or until the beans are tender.
5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot.
