Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 8 slices Rye bread
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 large Onion sliced
  • 2 tablespoon Butter

Special Sauce

  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoon Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Dill pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and cook until caramelized.
  2. 2. Form ground beef into 4 patties. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. 3. In the same skillet, cook patties until browned and cooked through.
  4. 4. Mix all special sauce ingredients in a bowl.
  5. 5. Assemble the patty melts: Spread special sauce on bread slices, add a patty, caramelized onions, and a slice of cheese. Top with another bread slice.
  6. 6. Grill sandwiches in the skillet until bread is toasted and cheese is melted.
