  • ½ cup Rice preferably short-grain
  • 4 cups Milk whole milk
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt

Instructions 

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the rice, milk, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently.
  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the rice is tender and the mixture thickens, about 25-30 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let cool slightly before serving.
