Main Ingredients
- ½ cup Rice preferably short-grain
- 4 cups Milk whole milk
- ¼ cup Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
In a saucepan, combine the rice, milk, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently.
Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the rice is tender and the mixture thickens, about 25-30 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let cool slightly before serving.
